                                               Learning with bulletin boards
              The best and the fun way of being an English teacher is preparing bulletin boards for students. It is an essential part of  language learning. Kids like to look at the boards while they are spending time in the corridors.
You can arrange your boards according to your students in-class works or projects. You can pin or stick their works on your bulletin boards so that students have chance to see what they've already created. This will help to attract their attention also It will help your students emotionally attach to you as well. Here are some ideas for you..

                                                           1) Let's Go to the Party!
This "Party Train" bulletin board is made of students' birthday party invitation cards. Ss write invitation to their friends for their birthday party. Teacher first gives templates to the students and they invite their friends to their so-called birthday party. Teacher then prepare big envelopes and turns them into wagons and sticks the cards in the big envelope wagons and puts a title "Please come to my party" Kids will love to see their and their friends' cards.

           2) Food Crush 
The other one is "healthy food crush" bulletin board. As you know candy crush was once  so famous among all the kids even among adults. So we took advantage of this and created a huge candy crush board to revise food vocabularies. This is another version of candy crush. When you teach food subject you can start it with this enjoyable bulletin board, with the fun characters of candy crush. Kids will enjoy and learn. you can also prepare it adjustable so that kids can play with it by changing the places of the vocabularies on the board during their break time. 

                                                               3)Scoop of English

            If you want to set some rules you can start it with "ice cream" bulletin board. You can list the             school rules on the scoops of ice cream. You can also adopt it for the ingredients of learning               English. You can list the ingredients on the scoops. Fun is on the top of the list for learning English. 

        4) Let's Pop Up
 This "Popcorn" bulletin board is for the beginning of the year. After summer holiday kids return to school and they start a new and higher grade. This is a very warm welcoming for them. We did it and they loved it very much. It works. You write the names of the students on the pop corns. They keep looking into the pop corns to find their names. You can also stick their pictures as well. (This is copied and adopted  from pinterest) 

 5) Rake the Leaves

 If students finish their readers of the first term it is time to rake them in order to start for the new ones:) so I prepared this bulletin board and put the students' old books on it. The students are so excited about the new books and waiting for the second term to come quickly:) You can also plan one project after each book and stick them on the board as well. 

6) Let's Eat Some Sandwiches.

We celebrate Sandwich day at school every year. Kids prepare sandwiches beforehand and present their sandwiches in the lesson. I take their pictures during their presentation afterwards, i stick their pictures on the bulletin board in their corridors. Students creativity cooperates with the teacher's. And that is the result:)

7) Master Bun The Baker's Boy    

Before starting to read each reader we always prepare a reader related bulletin board to create a enthusiasm about the book. We prepared this bulletin board before starting to read Bun The Baker's Boy. I prepared bread templates and gave them to my students and let them color and write the recipe of making bread. Then I turned them into 3D bread. Finally I decorated my bulletin board with my students' bread. Kids not only enjoyed in the lesson but also loved to see this beautiful board in the corridor. They were so curious about the book and they were looking forward to reading it.:) 

                     

                                                                8) The Old Lady
Most of you must know the book There was an old lady who swallowed a fly. It is a very popular children's book. There are hundreds of activities and games about that book. As a Teacher you can interpret that book as many ways. One of them is making a bulletin board to introduce your new topic. We adapted the theme to introduce household objects. So The Old Lady turned into the one who swallowed all the household object. You should try. It looks vivid and enjoyable:) Have fun. 

      

                                                  9)The man who wore all his clothes 
As I said above, we prepared boards before we start reading a new reader. Here is another one. This was a great book to read. The fun way to start to the book is to create an anticipation in the class. It was all about clothes so we decided to read it in the "clothes" unit. You can give clothes templates to the kids and they can write their ideas about the book; such as why he wears all his clothes, what the book is about ect. This will also help them to think creatively and It will help them to ask critical thinking questions. They will decorate and color the templates. Then you can prepare your bulletin board with kids works, so the kids will both enjoy to see their products and will be excited to read the book. After you start reading you can let your students go and compare what they have already guessed and what has really happened. It works a lot:)

            

               

                     10)  "Let's dig into our summer plans" 
Is summer coming ahead? So why don't you learn your students summer plans and turn their ideas into a summer bulletin board? So give your students some colorful paper and let them write their ideas about summer. Then prepare your spades and bucket and other staff about summer. Stick their ideas on the spades and decorate your bulletin board. It is so enjoyable. 

                                            11) "Whales come to head start" 
This bulletin board was prepared to create an awareness for endangered animals.We as teachers prepared in-class activities that go along with the bulletin board such as; watching videos about those animals, making research and finding the reasons why they are about to extinct, What we should do about it etc. They are given some templates and write about their ideas, reasons or solutions on those templates. then you can decorate your board with those things. All the students had chance to see and read what is written in those papers on the bulletin board in their break time.  So you create a whole school awareness. We took pictures then we posted them to WWF with the donation we made with the students. 

                                                              12) It's time to Travel

Do you want to Explore the world with your students? So why don't you start it with preparing a bulletin board? You can prepare templates of famous tourist attractions in different countries and let your students color them and write what they've learned about those places. They can also write where they want to visit and why they want to visit. They can write letters to the children from different countries. Bring them all together and decorate your bulletin board!                                                         13) New Year Lollipops 
It is a kind of fun bulletin board. The aim is to decorate a new year board with students arts and crafts. They wrote their wishes on their lollipops and colored them. Teacher prepared big lollipops out of crepe paper and sticks. I also prepared big gingerbread men out of craft paper and staffed them. The rest is your imagination. It really looks colorful and enjoyable.

                                                           14) Are you ready for summer? 
If you are not it is time to get ready step by step because summer holiday is coming ahead. Students writes their summer plans on round colorful paper and they decorate them. (instead of round paper you can prepare flip-flop templates.) You can attach them on the frame of your board and decorate the rest as you wish with different summer staff. Getting ready for summer is really cool because both our students and we, the teachers deserve the best holiday.

                          

                                                        15) Toast is Roast

Everybody likes Toast right? It is the best part of breakfast I guess:) Metaphorically our kids can turn into little toast bread and the teacher is a toaster:) It is so enjoyable as well as funny:). This is an inside bulletin board. Teachers can adopt this board into a vocabulary board. Teacher can stick the new vocabularies on the toast and every month or week you can change the vocabularies weekly or daily. You can also prepare vocab activities by using the vocabularies on the toast. It is the fun way to teach new vocabularies. If you think deeper and wiser you can find many fun activities to adopt this inside bulletin board.

                16) "A camp day with Lorax"

Here is another bulletin board about a book. As I said before, the best way to introduce a new book is to prepare its bulletin board. It creates a curiosity among the students and the more they enjoy the bulletin board the more they become eager to read. They also like to contribute to the bulletin board while the teacher is preparing it. You can decorate your bulletin board with your kids works. You can give them research projects about the book and stick those projects on the board with the kids. You can change the content of the board as you make a progress reading the book. 

                                                              17) Hallo, !Holla!
These are Spanish and French teachers' bulletin boards for summer. A fun way to say good bye to your students. All you need is to be creative and colors. Have nice holiday everyone:)

                   

                                                                18) Are You Ready?

Welcome to new educational year. Are you ready to welcome your students? We are ready. All preparations have been completed. Our bulletin boards are ready too. Here is a marine concept welcoming board. I hope huge objects and colorful design of the board will be able to attract the students attention for the first day of the week. The title of the board is for first graders. You can adopt this bulletin board for any grade by changing the title only. Hope everyone will have a great year. 😊

                

               19)   Do you want to introduce your new teachers to the students. Here is a fun way to let your students meet with their new teachers. Prepare teacher templates and stick the teachers' faces on those bodies. I am sure they will enjoy a lot cause ours did so:) 

             20) Do you like wearing mask?  I don't know if you like or not bu students love to prepare and wear masks. They enjoy it a lot. You can prepare a bulletin board out of masks made by the students. You can change the topic and prepare your masks accordingly. Our topic was animals so we prepare animal masks and prepare this awesome board. All the students were very enthusiastic about seeing their masks in the corridor. 

           21) Winter has just arrived. It has't snowed yet but but we are already ready:) we are dreaming of playing snowball fight in the garden or making snowman in the garden.we are also dreaming of the snow holidays:) so this topic inspired us and students wrote their wishes about winter and we decorated a winter bulletin board. Did you like it? We will place a dog in the hut as soon as possible:) 

22) New year Eve is on the way! what are your plans about new year eve? We are planning to gather around our fireplace, write about our wishes, and read them aloud together maybe Santa will bring our wishes to us and put them in the new year socks on the fireplace:) did you like it? Don't forget to light the candles and have fun with your beloved ones ❤️

             

                 Let's dive into English:) does it sound enjoyable? I think it does. If you are ready to explore the colorful world of English you can enjoy this bulletin board too. Prepare small marine animal templates and let you students write on them about whatever you choose as a topic. Then prepare a big octopus out of cardboard and then just decorate your board with those colorful materials. Kids will enjoy to look for their animals on the bulletin board and parents will be proud of their kids' works. Don't forget to stick all the works of all the animals😊 

                                                          Festivals around the world

 Learning different cultures is always enjoyable and necessary. There are many festivals all around the world and kids enjoy learning them a lot. Do you wanna teach which festival take place where? So this bulletin board is the prefect idea for doing that. They like to observe the pictures on the giant 3D world map. you can print colorful festival pictures and stick them right place on the world map. The big children represent the kids all around the world. This bulletin board arouse sense of friendship among the children. The message is we are living on the same planet and we love each other. You can also prepare this board for International Children's Day 23rd April.

First Grades are under the spotlights

This bulletin board is designed as a stage. The spotlights are above and the Minions are our starts. We had a costume party with our first grade students and later we printed their pictures. We stocked them on the spotlights so our stars are our kids as well. They were interested in looking at their pictures and they enjoyed it a lot. you can adopt this board for different ideas.
